Accepted File Formats
We accept a wide range of digital file formats, as well as paper and film.
For Offset Printing and Digital Printing, we are able to accept all of the common digital file formats in and hardcopy artwork.
Electronic Formats
We accept the following electronic file formats:
- Adobe Acrobat (PDF);
- Adobe InDesign (Indd);
- Adobe Photoshop (PSD);
- Adobe Illustrator (AI);
- Quark Xpress;
- Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Word;
- Image formats TIFF, GIF, JPG/JPEG, PNG, BMP and EPS.
We also accept older file formats such as Adobe PageMaker and Adobe FrameMaker. If supplied, we are also able to install and use your OpenType, TrueType and Type 1 format fonts.
We support both Mac's and Windows PC's.
When using our on-line facilities or email, it is often advisable to compress your files first. We support StuffIt, HQX, ZIP and WinRAR compression. We also support a wide range of removable media: CD, DVD, USB drives, ZIP Disks and Diskettes.
Adobe Acrobat or PDF is your best bet for easily and accurately turning your designs into print. We use PDF files for our internal workflow and will shortly be putting up tutorials on how best to prepare your PDF files for digital and offset printing.
Hardcopies
We are also able to accept hardcopies of your artwork. We use high resolution scanners to convert your paper or film media into electronic formats. In circumstances where ther hardcopy might not be of sufficient quality to act as a master, we can replicate the design on the computer from scratch.
